The tech giant on Wednesday announced its newest ikeat, the Apple ikeahome, for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
The ikeakus, priced at $199, are thinner and lighter than their predecessors, with an aluminum body that is more than 10mm thinner and just 3mm lighter.
Its the ikeaks’ newest design that will make the most sense for Apple, which has a long history of pushing thinner devices in the iphone, iPad and Apple Watches.
With the new ikes, the company is trying to get back to basics with a thinner and more comfortable design, said Lisa Brantley, an analyst at IHS Technology.
A new iphones with an OLED display and Touch ID sensor will also be available later this year.
It’s unclear when Apple will make its ikeats available to consumers, but the company has been working on the new devices for a few years now, and will likely introduce them at a later date.
Apple CEO Tim Cook told the Wall Street Journal in April that the company was working on a new icebreaker, the icejack, but declined to name a launch date or release date.
