The company will operate out of a warehouse, which will house its workers, and will offer “free, high quality” tree removal services, said Shriram Kumar, the company’s CEO.
The company’s workers will be trained by the company, and the workers will perform tree removal for the company without any direct supervision, Kumar said.
The workers will also get paid with the money they earn, he added.
Kumar said the company is looking to expand to other parts of India, which is expected to be the next target market for the service.
He said he has received “huge support” from the Indian government, which has assured the company it will get clearance for its operation.
“The government is willing to provide funding and other incentives to get the project up and running,” Kumar said, adding that the company expects to roll out the service by December.
Kannada-language publication Times Now has reported that the government has been in talks with the company to extend its services in the country, and that the companies management has agreed to pay the Indian workers a base salary of at least $400 per month.
The company is also looking to extend the service to other areas in India, Kumar added.
