CSC Services’ chief executive officer, Stephen Leggett, has been named as one of the four people named in a letter by the Department of Labor, which is investigating the agency for alleged sexual misconduct.
Leggett said he’s not sure how long he’s been working at the company, but that he’d been working on it since December and has never been on the job less than seven days in a row.
“I’d say it’s been a year, so I think that’s my timeframe for when I started,” he said.
He told reporters that the letter is a “big surprise” for him.
“I haven’t received a letter from the Labor Department that I didn’t know I was in,” he added.
The Labor Department said it received the letter on Wednesday.
A spokeswoman for the Labor Secretary said she has not yet seen the letter.
Leggette said CSC is the only company that has agreed to a sexual harassment settlement with the Labor department.
“That’s something that the Labor secretary’s office has been very interested in,” Leggitt said.
“We’re very confident in the results of that, but we’re also very concerned about what the letter has to say.”
He said the settlement with CSC will help the Labor office make the decision to pursue the company.
“They’re going to be able to come up with a more detailed investigation that they feel would be relevant to the investigation,” Leghtt said.CSC Services has more than a hundred employees, and has been in business since at least 2005.
It provides health care services to workers in the energy sector, including power plants and refineries, as well as construction and maintenance.
It also provides information technology services to a variety of companies.
A company spokesman said the Labor-led Labor Government had been working with Csc Services for nearly four years and that they’re currently working to resolve all outstanding allegations.
“This is a very serious matter that has been the subject of a significant investigation,” the spokesman said.
“It’s clear that the government is determined to protect workers and uphold their right to a safe workplace and a safe work environment.”
